independent variable error message; connector element warning

independent variable error message; connector element warning

independent variable error message; connector element warning

(OP)
I am an Abaqus rookie and am modeling a steel H-pile in CAE.  I have 120 elements and 121 nodes with a multi-linear connector element defined at each node to represent the soil.  When running the analysis, I get one warning and one error message and the job is aborted.  Can someone please tell me what the following messages mean and how I might correct the problem(s):

"The independent variables must be arranged in ascending order
Analysis Input File Processor exited with an error."

"121 elements are connector elements that are connected to ground. The elements are identified in element set WarnConToGround."

Much thanks,
Laura

RE: independent variable error message; connector element warning

Without seeing the input file it is difficult to say extacly what caused the error.

The warning however is an easy one. It is just the system telling you that a certain number (121) of your connector elemenst are connected to ground. If this is not what you expect then you have a problem. Otherwise it is just as the message says, a warning.
