Help on assembly split

Help on assembly split

Help on assembly split

(OP)
I was under the impression that assembly split was supposed to allow EACH instance of a part to be split independent of the others.  Apparently, this is not the cas.

Can someone confirm this?  Help docs show the same part, different instance.  Unfortunately, in their example, they select all 3 instances, but do not make any clarification on whether one can make independent instance operations.

On another note: why is it, that in this forum, strange things happen when I type rapidly, and hit the apostrophe key?  (cursor leaves text field, jumps to the "Find" input at the bottom of my browser, and the screen flashes)

Thanks in advance.

RE: Help on assembly split

None of the Assembly Features work independantly on different instances - they simply modify the original part in an Assembly Context.
