Robot Palletizing project

Robot Palletizing project

I’m working on a Robot Palletizing project and will like to know if anyone here has already drawn a typical US size pallet, or knows where to download one? (I’m using SW version 2004)

Thanks

RE: Robot Palletizing project

No. But, you can go to a local store a measure one. Easy to draw.

RE: Robot Palletizing project

I would search the web for pallet manufactures.  Also, the use of the word pallet is generic.  So you will need to be a little more specific....are you looking for a 463L pallet which are cargo system pallets which lock into the floors of most cargo planes.  If so then read below:

The overall dimensions of the 463L pallet are 88 X 108 inches, with usable dimensions of 84 X 104 inches. This allows two inches around the load to attach straps, nets, or other restraint devices. An empty 463L pallet weighs 290 pounds and 355 pounds with nets.

RE: Robot Palletizing project

Construction material & size would also help.

Thanks all I guess I'll just visit my customer tomorrow and take measurements.

RE: Robot Palletizing project

I wasn't involved in the project, but the last company I was at had a palletizing system. There were LOTS of issues with getting the pallets specced because there are so many types and shapes of pallets, and they'd just use whatever was cheapest at the moment. Basically, the size and shape would switch constantly, and eventually we had to force the customer to pick a size range and construction type and stick with it.
