Hole Table Units question

Hole Table Units question

Hole Table Units question

(OP)
I know you can show dual units in the hole callout of a hole table, but is there a way to display dual units in the X,Y hole location of a hole table? I can't seem to find where this is controlled, or if you can even do it.

I don't know of a way within tables.

RE: Hole Table Units question

A workaround might be to create a config which is scaled up by 25.4 to simulate the metric sizes. A view of each config could then be placed on a drawing sheet, and a Hole Table created for each view. The scaled Hole Tables X & Y columns will appear to show metric. However if the hole wizard is used to  create the holes, the holes will still be called up in imperial units, but geometry created holes will appear as metric.
If both views are to be left on the sheet, the view of the scaled-up model will need to scaled down to make it appear the same size as the original. Or, to simplify the drawing, the scaled view could be hidden or moved outside the sheet border.

Thanks for the response!

That might work, too bad it's a work around. I wonder if I could just type in the alternate unit in the cell. I'll have to play around with it. At least I know I can't do what I'm looking for.

I'll talk to my VAR about submitting an ER for this.

Thanks a bunch!

RE: Hole Table Units question

You could add additional columns for your alternate units and use equations in each cell to get the value.  That way you would at least have dynamically updating alternate units.  Manually typing in values it would be very easy for a dim to get changed in your model without the modifying person changing the typed-in value.

BOM table equations let you specify the same equation for all rows in a column.  However, for the hole table you would have to put in the equation for each cell, changing the indvidual cell reference each time.
