Dim manipulation

Dim manipulation

Is there a value or formula you can apply to a dimension in a draft that will hide the dim or overide it so you can place text between the extension lines? TIA

I've seen it in other software.

RE: Dim manipulation

If you’ve got your toolbars set up like mine and I’m understanding your question it’s easy.

Create your dimension.

Select it (goes pink)

Go to the Select Tool – Dimension type (top tool bar) and select the grayed out x.  This hides the actual dimension value.

Go to the Select Tool – Prefix and type in the text you want, probably in the prefix box.

Hope it helps.
