Are there any Solid Edge users who have to accept part files from Catia?

What is the best method of accepting files from Catia. The methods of conversion could include STEP, IGES or translated files from a translator (Catia to Solid Edge or Catia to Parasolid etc.)

Is there ever any corrupted data?

Thanks all in advance.

RE: Catia translation

I've never dealt with Catia Data so the below may not be too useful but....

At my last job we tended to use STEP for translated files with IGES the second choice.

At this place my colleague has been mainly using parasolid.

RE: Catia translation

In later versions of SE there is a Catia V4 (.model) option in the 'Files of Type' drop-down on the 'Open' dialog box.
Can't say for certain what it does but it's got to be worth a try (unless you get Catia V5 files).
Otherwise I'd always use STEP for translating solid models.
IGES may be better for surface data.
