(OP)
Can someone explain in detail what are the field tests which can be carried to confirm anode material(We are using imressed current anodes for tank bottm protection-mixed metal oxide anodes)before installtion.i know we can get the material confirmation certificates from manufucturer. Whats are the simple field tests which  confirm the quality of anode materials?

RE: Site tesitng of Impressed current anodes before installation

I supose that with a PMI (Positive Material Identification) you can confirme material composition of anode materials.

RE: Site tesitng of Impressed current anodes before installation

I'm confused.

I would want to confirm the material composition of SACRIFICIAL anodes.

I have not heard of confirming the material of an IMPRESSED CURRENT anode.  Instead, I merely ensure the purchase spec is properly written.  I do care about the outer coating, but I've not heard of there being problems.

RE: Site tesitng of Impressed current anodes before installation

According Norsok standard common requirements for cathodic protection the Chemical composition of aluminum anode materials shall be of the AlZnIn type conforming to table bellow:

ELEMENT                    MAX %                  MIN %
Zinc (Zn)                   5.5                   2.5
Indium (In)                 0.040                0.015
Iron (Fe)                   0.09
Silicon (Si)                0.10
Copper (Cu)                 0.005
Others (Each)               0.02
Aluminium (Al)            Remainder
