Sub weldment drawings

Sub weldment drawings

Sub weldment drawings

(OP)
Hello,

Is there a way that I can create views and detail portions of a weldment as sub-weldments? I don't want to "Insert into part..." because I lose my hole feature call-out. It's just a dumb model.

I tried creating configurations, but when I Delete bodies my holes are failing. Any other workarounds?

Thank you,

Craig Sink

RE: Sub weldment drawings

Not a great workaround, but I belive instead of deleting bodies in your different configs you could add cut-extrude features to remove the portions of the weldment that you don't want to show in the sub-weldment.  As long as the cuts are last in the design tree it shouldn't mess up your holes.
