i've downloaded the vb.net addin template from:

http://www.solidworks.com/pages/services/APIDownloads.html

and opened it up fine. it works great, and shows how my macro can now look... but...

the menus disappear when you open an assembly, which is the one time i need them to appear. i can't find any code in the project that hides/unhides the commandgroup.

does anyone know how SW determines wether or not to show the group? i thought my macro could look really good this way, and now i've run into a brick wall.

my nose hurts.
