Hot Fluid Bad

Hot Fluid Bad

Hot Fluid Bad

(OP)
Our company is using hot fluid bed or hot sand bath to clean the screws and other parts from hard plastic from extrusion or injection molding. Right now we send out parts to a bigger plant and a lot of it gets lost in a large sand bath. I am looking into buying a hot sand bath that would be small, but would fit 45" screw set. Any idea how I can find comp. that make it. I don't know how to do a search word on-line, all I get are baths for pets instead of the bath that cleans the screw from plastic. Any help would be very usefull

RE: Hot Fluid Bad

Try the back section of Plastics Technology anual handbook or Modern Plastics Mag. Lots of manufacturers in the US.

RE: Hot Fluid Bad

We used fluidised sand baths in the aircraft fire detection plant I used to work at. They were made in the UK as I recall, they would get to very high temps 1800F or so. I have seen some on ebay not to long ago. Might try there. They are proud of them $$$
