To save .library files in Catia V5

To save .library files in Catia V5

(OP)
Hi
We have .library files from catia V4. I need to save them in V5. I can open the file; but can't save. I can't copy/paste in new cat part either.
Is there any way?

RE: To save .library files in Catia V5

Sounds like nested dittos to me.  Make sure you explode all your dittos in V4, only then you’ll be able to import into V5.

RE: To save .library files in Catia V5

When you tried the copy/paste, did you do Paste Special and select the As Specified option?  I believe that should work to copy V4 stuff and convert it to V5 part geometry.

RE: To save .library files in Catia V5

Sorry if this sounds too basic, but you need to explode your ditto and as mentioned make sure there is no nesting.

File in separate model and use: Tools + V4 to V5 migration.

From there you should be able to copy and paste (break link)

Cheers
