ASTM B 425(UNS No. N8825)forging and ASTM B 564(UNS No. N8825)

ASTM B 425(UNS No. N8825)forging and ASTM B 564(UNS No. N8825)

ASTM B 425(UNS No. N8825)forging and ASTM B 564(UNS No. N8825)

(OP)

I have found a specification requirement of ASTM B 425(UNS No. N 8825)forging for fittings and flanges but I have observed that this ASTM specification is for rod and bar not for forging whereas the ASTM B 564(UNS No. N 8825)is for forging.

Now I am informed that if any specification calls for ASTM B 425 ( UNS No. N 8825) and forging than both can not be complied it has to be either only ASTM B 425 ( UNS No. N 8825) or ASTM B 564(UNS N 8825.)and forging.

Can any body clarify about this? I am in extreem hurry to take decision regarding this for Incoloy piping fitting and flanges. Please help me out. I have put up this thread in ASTM issues forum also.
