Equivalent Material - French to American

Equivalent Material - French to American

(OP)
I have a fastener of French material designation.  The material information from the specification reads: Materiau indique dans la norme NF L 22-031-.  Code suivant norme NF L 09-752.

Additionally, there is a surface treatment of: Code suivant norme NF L 09-753.

Any help identifying this material would be greatly appreciated.

Regards,
John Morris

RE: Equivalent Material - French to American

The standards you refer to are no use in finding out the material of your fastener. one of the two specifications are documents which help you to choose materials for a particular part, and the other defines the material once you know the two-letter material code which forms part of the fastener reference. If the fastener is a bolt, the head should be marked with this two-letter material code. Tell me what the code is and I will let you know the material.
