will the retroactive reageing treatments used to enhance properties and prevent stress corrosion on aluminum zinc alloys be applicable to the aluminum copper alloys.

Not that I am aware of, at least as I understand your question. Re-ageing to prevent SCC is commonly applied to 7075-T6 and the resultant condition is designated T73. The copper aluminum alloys, such as 2014-T6 were develped to be SCC resistant in the T6 temper.
