Measurement procedure for noise at work regs

Measurement procedure for noise at work regs

Measurement procedure for noise at work regs

(OP)
Hi,

I am trying to write a procedure for my work regarding the noise at work regs and i am wondering if there is a standard way of measuring or it is totally up to the individual company? The piece of equipment i am trying to measure is a containerised pump unit which will contain a large diesel engine and a large triplex pump.

I know of a few procedure that say 1 metre away at a height of 1.5 metre all the way round and on the roof, some don't require the roof! Some have two heights to measure at!

Any help would be appreciated.

RE: Measurement procedure for noise at work regs

MECHMOS:  I would suggest that you contact OSHA to see what their requirements/methods/procedures are.

Regards
Dave
