Hello,

In a chemical application we are looking to cast a ceramic manifold.  We are looking for a ceramic or processed coating for ceramics that have the surface properties of glass.  Smoothness or low surface porosity is perhaps what we are trying to achive by material selection or post casting processing.

Any suggestions?

Thanks

RE: Like Glass

Your most economical alternative might be an old proven technology of glass enamel on metal like cast iron, which gives a smooth finish if the temperature is low.  Plasma coated articles with a ceramic have a rough surface compared to glass enamel but for more high temperature applications might be the choise(Try englehard surface technologies because they are really the only place that I know of that can plasma coat internal surfaces.)
