Inspection of 38MW Siemens Generator Type TLII 124/19-15

(OP)
We are planning to inspect a Siemens 4 pole 38MW Generator (type TL11 124/19-15) shortly. This is a steam turbine driven (via gearbox)machine with air cooling, air to water heat exchanger. It has been in service for 10years (Manufactured in  1995) but only approx. 7months per year actaul running the rest is idle (Total = 50,000hrs).

Does anyone have any knowledge of common problems or faults in these Siemens machines which may be discovered once the rotor is removed?

I am only new to the forum, but I think it is very very good. I am glad I have come across it.

Thankyou
