Edge Display for Cosmetic Threads

Edge Display for Cosmetic Threads

Edge Display for Cosmetic Threads

(OP)
I'm using Pro/E 2001

I have an external cosmetic thread on a ring that I want to show in section. The thread only extends part way down the outside surface of the ring.

When I create the section view the bottom edge of the thread, the edge part way down the ring, is always on view.

I have switched off hidden lines and tangent lines, I have tried to delete the edge but I'm assuming that, because it is a surface, that the line isn't controlled by edge display.

Can anyone help on this?

RE: Edge Display for Cosmetic Threads

Try the dtl option:

hlr_for_threads

Unfortunately that just highlighted the cosmetic threads, it didn't remove any lines.

I set the thread_standard parameter to std_iso_imp_assy and that worked.
