Inconel X-750 spinella thickness measurement

(OP)
The microscope/image program I use will allow me to measure increments as low as 100 nanometere.  The minimum thickness of the spinella is approx. 500 nanometers.  How do I "treat" the sample mount to develope a readable interface between spinella and base metal?  geboy

As I recall you use an electrolytic extraction, but you stop before things actually fall out of the structure.  I'll look for hte solution that we used.
