Anyone knows any motor can be driven by ultra high pressure water? Thanks.

RE: Motor

Also, what kind of efficiency are you looking for? Approximate hp?
sevice factor (24/7 or occasional use)?

I know of a couple PD pumps that have been used as a motor, but not very efficiently since the water has little lubrication for a tight pump.

I'm sure a hydraulic motor would work...for a little while ;)

RE: Motor

If I understand the question, energy recovery turbines are common after RO treatment.  Don't know of any specific manufacturer's but maybe check with RO suppliers.

RE: Motor

No.  A motor is powered by electricity, not water.  Are you really looking for a water turbine?

RE: Motor

(OP)
yes, turbine. Does anyone know any good turbine manufacturers in US? Thanks.

RE: Motor

big, small, for alternate energy supply?  What's the application?

It ain't easy to dig it up.  Do it right the first time.
