Realiging a Component in Assy to Default

Realiging a Component in Assy to Default

I know it's simple enough to just reinsert a component and let it fall into the default coord system, but is there a way to realign a component to the default coord system after already in assy and not currently aligned with it?

Thanks

RE: Realiging a Component in Assy to Default

The only way I've found is to float it, mate its planes to the assembly's planes, and then fix it and delete the mates.

I know im just being lazy; I hoped there was a command to reset when no other positioning/orienting constraints were in place.  You know, 2 sec instead of 10.

Thanks for the feedback,
Mike

handleman: you should check "use for positioning" when adding the mates. The mates will then be valid until you close the mate dialog.
