High Pressure Water Pump

High Pressure Water Pump

High Pressure Water Pump

(OP)
I am looking for a pump manufacturer, who can make high pressure water pump with 60,000 psi for jet cutting. The motor needs to be hydraulic driven.

Thanks for help!

RE: High Pressure Water Pump

Here two of the prime movers in the field though there are more.  You are looking at an intensifier which is driven by hydraulic fluids instead of pump.
I wouldn't recommend cobbling a system together, instead I would look at the whole package.

Thanks, unclesyd.

I don't quite understand how this hydraulic intensifier works...Are you aware of any web linkage with information how it works?

Thanks again.

RE: High Pressure Water Pump

FYI:  Intensification is when you take, say 2000psi (of liquid), and run it into a ram which is pushing on another smaller piston. The pressure of the fluid behind the smaller piston will have been 'intensified' by the ratio of their piston areas.

Last week I was shocked to see this occur when pressure was run into a double acting cylinder the pressure on the other side of the ram was far higher than the pressure supplied by the hydraulic pumps.  Really confused me for a minute.
