Seabed Leveler

Seabed Leveler

Seabed Leveler

(OP)
Has anyone for an appreciated feed-back, some archive, paper, images or otherwise practical information on the merits and use (incl. precautions!) of a seabed leveler (also called a plough) (or bed-roller) used to smoothen dredged profile.
Bottom is usually left behind by the Trailing Suction Hopper Dredge with "high spots" and/or troughs.
Plough (or even called "Screed") is lowered and towed behind either a workboat (anchor-handling etc.) or a tugboat with ample power. (bollard-pull).

RE: Seabed Leveler

Greetings.
I have worked in the dredging world for many years and the only thing that I have found to be cost affected in leveling sea bed sites is a mass flow dredger
IE:- TT340 belonging to Seabed Systems of ulverston in North West England. There web site is down at the moment but you can get more information at info@seabadsystems.com
I hope this helps
Best regards
TT340
