Mobile electrification system

Mobile electrification system

(OP)
I'm trying to undestand how 'Mobile electrification systems' work (...fundamentals of it). I have searched the internet to no avail, but I was able to get a crude understanding of it. Is there anything out there I should be looking at? Any help would be gr8.

Thanks.

RE: Mobile electrification system

'Mobile electrification systems'..

Usually, a power barge used to supply power to small islands
where its versatility and mobility is advantage. I guess this is your query.

RE: Mobile electrification system

Alternate simplified answeres:
Portable cord...
Bus bar rails for cranes...
Flex track for mobile machines...
3rd rails for subways...
Induction rails for guided robots...
Batteries...

In other words, you needed to clarify the CONTEXT of your question by providing more details, not simplify it by making the sentence shorter.

RE: Mobile electrification system

fazie,
your simplified query wasn't much answered, it's a broad context. This query is some sort of student question.

RE: Mobile electrification system

Especially when you look at his profile and see only 1 other posting asking for a good book on PLCs.

I think I see a red flag a-comin down the track.

RE: Mobile electrification system

Perhaps you're referring to a portable sub. This is essentially a substation on wheels. Transformer, high and low side switches and some form of low and/or high side protection (i.e., OCB on the low side, fuses or interrupter on the primary).

These are often taken into a substation to perform maintenance, or replace a damaged unit until it can be replaced.
