Is there any software out that would allow someone to read the .j9D files which make up the data generated by the PA9 recorder, besides the software from the recorder itself?

We would like to make our results from recordings we have taken on our lines, available to our customers (or their electrical engineers) who have had complaints.

While we can understand the basics of the files (min, RMS, max for volts and amps) the other features from this recorder are of use only to an engineer, which we don't have on board.

I was hopeing for maybe a reader type program, similiar to Adobe Acrobat's Reader, for viewing .pdf files.  Or is there a standard power quality program that can open this type of file (.j9D)

Thanks in advance

Ai*Power from Kreiss Johnson used to work with the PA7 files (I think). Don't know if they continue to offer a product that works with the newer recorders.

The Metrosoft software you use to extract the data from the box has the option to export the reports to .txt.

I found using notepad or MS word works well to edit/modify/or add info easily.

Most times I would just print the report to a PDF rather than the printer anyway.

Hope that helps!
