How to deactivate cutter compasation in turning

Hello Friends

I am a new user of UG. Please tell how to generate tool path with G40 (i.e) with out cutter compensation.

I am trying to keep cutter compensation mode in "inactive" in start-up-commands. But after post processing nothing is changing.

Please tell how to use G40 & where to do this.

thank you
Prasad

RE: How to deactivate cutter compasation in turning

Have not used TURNING yet in my short programming experience but I have you tried the following?

While in the program select the MACHINE icon.

This should activate the MACHINE CONTROL window.

Select the CUTTER COMPENSATION icon.

This should activate the CUTTER COMPENSATION window.

Select the top line command CUTCOM (which is a 9ull down) and select the INACTIVE option.

Hope this helps...

Hello TACKS652

Thanks for your idea. I allready tried what u told, but there is no such direct option to active/inactive the cutter compensation as it is in milling.

What u told is available in milling.

But in turning u can get this option in "start-up-command" only, just try it. It u r getting correct post data please give your idea.

Thank you
PRASAD
