Superpave
Superpave
(OP)
Does anyone have a feel for how much superpave is going for? Never had to use it before. I have a wearing course of 1 1/2 inches and the base course of 11 1/2 inches of superpave each.
Also anyone heard of cathodic protection on a water main pipe?
Thanks for any information you may have.

Here in No. CA, they do have CP on water mains in some areas.

Superpave asphalt is item no. 334 on page 5. Optional bases are in item no. 285 on page 4. Base group 15 is 9" thick B-12.5 (the thickest asphalt base available). You building a runway?
LCruiser has a good point. Work volume, accessibiltiy and production rates all figure in on price.
Can't help you on the cathodic protection. Mostly non-corrosive soils in Fla.
Cheers
RE: Superpave
And SuperPave uses the (esal) count designation aka. estamated single axle load for which the pavement will be used, hence a low volume roadway would have less traffic on it and would require the most ashpalt content and a high volume Interstate would have the least amount of asphalt content.
