EDSA and Batteries

EDSA and Batteries

EDSA and Batteries

(OP)
Hi all,

I am looking at the possibility of modelling a different type of battery in EDSA. What I am not sure of is how EDSA uses the data contained within it to calculate dynamic results, ie state of charge etc.

I realise that within the 'Battery Sizing' part of EDSA you can add a new battery type and add curves of amps against amp hours but does EDSA use this within the dynamic analysys?

Any ideas?

RE: EDSA and Batteries

If you have access to the software, it's a safe bet to assume that you have access to the technical documents, too. In the section dedicated to 'Battery Sizing', you can find some mathematical relationships needed to calculate the parameters of the required battery. See chapter V, par.E where the using of the curves is described.

You can contact EDSA people at any time if you have additional questions, of course.
