Is there a way to link drawing views to other drawings?

Is there a way to link drawing views to other drawings?

Is there a way to link drawing views to other drawings?

(OP)
I'm looking for a simple way to link views to a drawing.  I know it sounds odd, but here's the case - I have a huge drawing that I want to create, comprised of many individual drawing views.  These views need to be kept separate, for a design/edit/review process.

Up to now, I have been saving the drawings as .gl2 files, and inserting them as objects into the main drawing.  But I'm tired of having to resave and re-link.  Is there a simple way to do this, that keeps a live link? (please don't tell me to paste the views into a the drawing - that's not what I'm after)

Thank you!

One approach is to COPY and PASTE a view from one drawing to another then utilize the File-Save Management unstead of File-Save.

That has no effect whatsoever on dimensions and annotations, though.

If I were to add the views on 2 sheets, and edit them on 1, they would not be updated on both drawing sheets, other than 3D changes.
