Reaction Loads at Connectors

Reaction Loads at Connectors

Reaction Loads at Connectors

(OP)
Does anyone know if there is a direct way to determine the loads imposed by connectors?

There is chart of forces & moments only for the pin and bolt type connectors; what about all the others like spring and rigid?

I know that if the faces are flat and orthogonal, I calculate this from the average normal stress times the area but this is quite limiting.

If this is a deficiency, anyone know if this has been submitted as an enhancement request?

Regards,

AKERT
