pls can someone tell me the dimension of a 42" ball valve, cabon steel,150#

RE: ball valve

What do you mean by "dimension"?  End-to-end length?  What kind of trim?  Weld end or raised face?

Try CSA Z245.15 as a start in the industrial code.

RE: ball valve

42"  smile, sorry, I developed a sense of humor this morning.

RE: ball valve

The only manufacturer that I found to make a ball valve of this size is Cameron. To get their dimensions, you will need to log into their site.

RE: ball valve

Your in luck.  I just finished with the Nuovo Pignone NPS 42 ANSI Class 600 Ball Valve, FXF, Full Port specification for a local engineering company in Western Canada.

Minimum Bore Size = 1020 mm (40.16 inch)
Face-to-Face Length = 2175 mm (85.6 inch)
Maximum Body Diameter = 1795 mm (70.7 inch)
Centre Line to Lower Body Distance = 1110 mm (43.7 inch)
Centre Line to Upper Body Distance = 995mm (39.2 inch)
Estimated Weight = 15118 kg (33260 lbm)
Breaking Torque @ 1440 psig (MOP) = 38725 ft lbf (52504 mN)
Run Torque @1440 psig (MOP)= 11433 ft lbf (15502 mN)
Stem Torque (Maximum) = 92933 ft lbf (126000 mN)

Nuovo Pignone is the Italian arm of General Electric in Europe, oil & gas ball valve manufacturing.  These specifications do vary somewhat from manufacturer to manufacturer, but in general they are quite similar.  The total overall length for example, is an industrial standard specified by various codes.  I would also expect the torque performance to be somewhat similar since the ANSI rating of the valve relative to wetted pressure envelope(s) are identical.

Hope this helps you out!
