Header Pressure
Header Pressure
(OP)
Hello all,
I am trying to determine control valve pressure drop on sour gas line. The source pressure is 15 psi ,the sour fuel gas header is at 10psig. If I have to go all the way to my battery limit, I have to determine the length and with fittings, I should be able to determine my battery limits pressure.
Is this the right approach?
Help would be appreciated.

RE: Header Pressure
You do a similar calculation to determine the outlet pressure on the control valve for your range of flows to get into your fuel gas header at 10 psi. The difference is the pressure drop that the control valve will take.
RE: Header Pressure
just to add to TD2K, although it is negligible in this case of gas, but in liquids the difference in head should also be considered.
