(OP)
ok im new to vba and granted this technically isnt my first vba program but it is my first complicated on here is what im trying to do essentially
i have either a group of Autocad Drawings or One Drawing that consists of all or one Autocad Block. These blocks have Attribute Info that has been extracted to an Excell spread sheet. Now i want my program to search the specified folder location (either preset by me or defined by the user)and using the xls file filter based on info in certain columns ie it goes thru and sees that there is 134 different blocks that has a thickness of 8 inches or 4 or whatever and shows each different option in a combo box or listbox but after the user selects an option it filters thru the total and displays the results in a list box and at some point im going to insert a list of these blocks to the drawing database
ok maybe im confusing you let me know

if everyone helps everybody the world will be a better place
