Can SW06 import an Inventor assembly file?
Can SW06 import an Inventor assembly file?
(OP)
Hi Folks,
I think that I know the answer to this one but want to check in with everyone to be sure. SW06 can open Inventor part files but there is not any option for assembly files. Is this correct? If so, is there any work-around?
Please pardon the fact that I am blissfully unaware of any of the specifics regarding Inventor (other than it is an Autodesk product). ;)
Best regards,

RE: Can SW06 import an Inventor assembly file?
YOu might look at some type of translator programs like formatworks... not sure if they support that or not, but its worth a try.

I would export the Inventor assembly as a iges, or Step. I doubt exports to parasolid.
Does anybody know what Kernal Inventor uses?

Never argue with an idiot. They'll bring you down to their level and beat you with experience every time.

I was under the impression that Autodesk was still using the ACIS kernel. I don't know that for certain though.
Thanks for the feedback.
