Secondary Containment Requirements

(OP)
Does anyone know of any federal and/or state requirements for secondary containment of petroleum storage tanks.  Specifically double bottoms.  Thanks.

RE: Secondary Containment Requirements

I think 40 CFR 119, Oil Pollution Act requires it. I know that it is a requirement of NFPA 30 and the 2003 International Fire Code requires containment.

RE: Secondary Containment Requirements

The secondary containment is usually dike with liner- not often actually a double bottom.
