How to set the unbraced length in SAP2000

How to set the unbraced length in SAP2000

(OP)
For a beam 50ft long, laterally braced at the center.Dead .2k/ft Live .8k/ft
I set the unbraced length in two ways, one way is assign a translation restraint at the center, this way gives a correct answer.
Another way is use the overwrite to set the LTB ratio as .5.But this give me a different design section. This way is from the manual
Could anyone tell me what is the reason ?
Thanks

RE: How to set the unbraced length in SAP2000

I am interested in knowing the answer also.  Is there any where you can set the unbraced length of a member to a value instead of letting the program try to figure it out?

Overwrite the value, after the design click the member and overwrite the value
