(OP)
has any experince  with kinemetics  >?
i want to move a manklins leg in  cirle
attach to a machine
but how do i attach this?
its not working what i try  in normal kinemetic option

any one idea how to silve this!
catia v5 r16

RE: kinimetics

There is a "Attach/Dettach" feature in human builder workbench where you can attach parts to ceratin body segments of the manikin so when you move the manikin the part will follow according to the body segment. Now there are some problems with it in R16, if I'm not misstaken there is a bug that will lose that connection after saving the session and I think it's fixed in SP3HF10.

RE: kinimetics

(OP)
this i understand
but i do not want to move the manklin
but the part
so the other way around
and this does not happen

imagine the foot standing on a upper part of the circle then move the circle in it´s axel
but with attach  detach the whole manklin move´s
not only his foot and upper and down leg
wich i want

RE: kinimetics

Ok, then you can use Manikin Constraints in Human Builder workbench. Could be a little tricky to get what you want, but you can use both the surface segments to constaint and also the manikin segments if change display of manikin.

RE: kinimetics

(OP)
again thanks for interacting
i can move the leg no problem
but together with a part and move in kinemetics it just does not move

i can in workbench manklin move the leg and all kind of other body parts in almost evry direction
but not in kinemetics
that´s the problem!!!!!!!!

RE: kinimetics

If I understand you right you want to drive the manikin through a part in "DMU Kinematics Simulation" workbench??? I think I missunderstod your "kinematics" with forward and inverse kinematics used in the human builder workbench.

I usually make motion manikin simulations in Delmia.

When I get som spare time I will do some tests...

RE: kinimetics

(OP)
yes indeed i do
i thank you very much if you could help me
we do not have delmia v5 r16
in wich the models are

can you do in delmia  a part driving the manklin?

RE: kinimetics

ok, just tried it, sorry about the time but I'm over my ears with work.

It worked, I made an kinematic assembly containing one manikin assembly with one manikin and a part used for revolute reference and an other assembly containg a hub part and two fotstep parts.
In the manikin assembly I manikin constrained the the feet to the fotstep(in the other assembly) and fixed the hip.
In the kinematic assembly I made a mechanism where the reference part in the manikin assembly was the fix part and used the same part to make a revolute with the hub part.

And also I had to set in tools/options the manikin constrain resolution updates to automatic

RE: kinimetics

(OP)
ok thanks i will try that

RE: kinimetics

(OP)
THANKS  i got it
its a good beginning altough the foot stays in the same position this is differant then normal
but i guess have to figure out how to solve this

any way i see that it goes    gives me a good feeling
thanks a ton

RE: kinimetics

I don't think that the foot is a problem, I used only the heel area to constrain, you could even use the front part of the foot to secure it's movements. You can even switch manikin appearance to only show segments and there constrain to the segment,

RE: kinimetics

(OP)
is it me or do you also have the problem i selecting holes or plane´s in kinematics
once i have a line of a hole its really  hard to go to the next step like plane
is there meaby a control button?  to select

RE: kinimetics

I've also noticed problems with selecting elements of geometries, so I usually add reference geometry and axis systems to help selecting. But it is also easier that way to group in geometric sets what's used for what.

If somebody else has some tricks here, please chip in.

RE: kinimetics

(OP)
do any one also meaby know how  the simulation can be endless
this like a wheel turning endless
with out going to its orginal starting position

RE: kinimetics

(OP)
mister azreal could you help me please
i tried to manklin as you sent me in simulation in wmv file
but what ever i try i cannot get the manklin fixed
it stays turning around the circle with its pedals

i made a simultion meaby i can sent you this
or you can sent me the tree wich you have simulate the manklin
getting crazy about this

RE: kinimetics

Can't find it now, back from vacation and I don't recall anything.

Did you fix the manikin hip and also the the manikin assembly??
