Settlement due to lateral movement of sheetpiles

Settlement due to lateral movement of sheetpiles

(OP)
Hi guys. I would like to estimate the possible settlement of a structure that is founded on soil that is supported by a soldier pile or sheetpile that is displacing laterally. Is there a graph that correlates these variables? I would appreciate your comments very much. Thanks in advance.

RE: Settlement due to lateral movement of sheetpiles

A paper by Clough and O'Rourke “Construction Induced Movements of Insitu Walls” provides lateral and vertical settlement estimates adjacent to various types of retaining structures based on distance, soil type, wall stiffness, etc.
