64M NVIDIA Geforce3 Ti500 DDR card???

(OP)
Does anyone have any comments on the use of 64M NVIDIA Geforce3 Ti500 DDR card for SW? Will it be suitable for CAD use?

Thanks,
Simon :)

RE: 64M NVIDIA Geforce3 Ti500 DDR card???

Simon,

I'm running a Geforce 2 on my 1.2Gig AMD at home and don't have any issues.  It seem ok.  No strange crashes or anything.

RE: 64M NVIDIA Geforce3 Ti500 DDR card???

Simon,

If you're looking to buy a card, check out cards based on Nvidia's Quadro/Quadro2/Quadro3 chipset--it's the Geforce/Geforce2/Geforce3 core, but optimized for professional graphics (presumably by improvements in the geometry engine), rather than gaming.

If you already own the card, check out the SW video card testing results at:

RE: 64M NVIDIA Geforce3 Ti500 DDR card???

Biomak,

I just checked my work computer and this is the exact card that I am currently running.  No problems.  I havn't had any crashes, lock-ups, stray graphics, or anything.

The rest of my hardware is as follows; Dell Deminsion 8200, P4-1.7 Gig, 512M ram.
