Ground improvment in Geostudio?

Ground improvment in Geostudio?

Ground improvment in Geostudio?

(OP)
I need someone who work in Geostudio. I have a problem. I am modeling a construction on driven piles near sea. Ground have several layers CL,CM or SM. I must do a ground improvment(vibro-replacment stone columns) in order to decrease moments and forces on piles. I have problem to model ground improvment in Geostudio. I cant change material properties in proces. How I can change material of region when I generate time steps? I try this way: first excavation, then change region properties and then fill but this doesnt work.

Kind regards,
Ivan Arapov

RE: Ground improvment in Geostudio?

to solve the problem, divide your model into two files, first file should consists only model of excavation: initial state, then removing material, second file should consists: placing of the new material - representing improvment, you can
used a great feature of geoslope software to model things step-by-step, inside the second file you ve to state the stress and strain field from the first file, then change the properties of corresponding regions, hope you manage this successfully
