Duplex and Super Duplex

Duplex and Super Duplex

(OP)
If I have welders who can weld Duplex does this mean they are covered  to weld Super Duplex.

RE: Duplex and Super Duplex

Could you please define your current weld program (weld procedures and welder certification, if any)? Also, is the welding going to be performed to some Code or Standard? Last, what is your application? (the reason for my questions will help to provide a better response to your question).

RE: Duplex and Super Duplex

It depends on the variables defined in your Welding Procedure Specification and the class of the consumables.  It is likely that Super Duplex qualification would qualify for both but not necessarily the other way around.
