10kW PFC front end
10kW PFC front end
(OP)
I am looking for some help in locating a power factor corrected front end. It must have a CE label as it would be going directly to EU countries. Here are the specs:
-input: 220Vac (could be single or three phase)
-output: 350Vdc to 400Vdc (most likly non-isolated)
-power output of 10kW (I could use two 5kW instead)
I have found this unit:
http://www.pioneermag.com/power/bulk_new.html
but it is not CE stamped. If you have any leads, please let me know. My guess is that somebody in Europe is likely to have what I need.

RE: 10kW PFC front end
That power should be derived from 400 V 3-phase line, most applications do not require power factor correction in that case, but if it is required non-isolated topologies provide volatges from 560 V to 800 V DC.
So no one in europe does need such product like you want, and as a result no one is offering such a thing for use in europe.
You should consider that in Europe three-phase power is available nearly in every house.

Picture 10 machines running in an industrial setting. Each requires 1kW. Since each draws less than 16 Amps, they must comply with EN61000-3-2 if powered from 220Vac. But if there is one power supply that does the AC to DC conversion for all ten machines (or even 5 of them), it simplifies each machine. And it wouldn't necessarily need active PCF since it would draw over 16A. This is the power supply that I am trying to find.
