Simply Heating Syngas?

Simply Heating Syngas?

Simply Heating Syngas?

(OP)
Hello everyone,

I am trying to build a lab-scale experiment for shifting syngas. I need to heat it first, though. The flow would be around 5 l/min and i can't add steam into it. I thought adding electrical elements in a H2 containing gas is not very safe, and currently lack ideas.. does anyone have any good ones for a safe and simple heating to 800-900 C of 5 l/ min of H2 containing syngas?

Thank you a lot,
Vlatko

RE: Simply Heating Syngas?

If you make sure that there's no oxygen, then it's safe.

Otherwise, it's not, even at much lower temps.
