Metals Compatibility

(OP)
Are there any compatibility issues between brass and cast iron or ductile iron?

RE: Metals Compatibility

The answer to your question depends on application. Can you provide us with more information regarding your application?

RE: Metals Compatibility

(OP)
We will place brass caps on either ductile iron or cast iron pipes that are cleanouts. The caps will be at the surface of a concrete paved area and the pipes will be below.

RE: Metals Compatibility

This should be acceptable.

RE: Metals Compatibility

If you were to be in our part of the world, you would not have considered brass, for it would be stolen on day one.
