RE: E20-Carrier under DOS

E20-II under DOS is outdated long back and is replaced by the Windows Version called HAP. (Hourly Analysis Program)

Thanks HVAC68
I live in Canada, is there any way that I could access to HAP hourly analysis free?

RE: E20-Carrier under DOS

I don't think they give it free.  Contact the local Carrier representative for more information.

RE: E20-Carrier under DOS

Try to look at Carrier's web page, they have free stuff like the HAP Building Wizard, Electronic Catalog and Weather Files.

If you can't down load them give me your e-mail address, i'll send them to you.

RE: E20-Carrier under DOS

I have some old versions of  E20 -II but you need to run it on a old computer.  If you buy something from Carrier or at least pretend like you want to then your local Carrier representative might give you a free version of the newer windows based versions.

RE: E20-Carrier under DOS

Isn't the "HAP" (hourly analysis program) the full-blown energy analysis software?  You can probably get The EII-20 "Block Load" for about $400/yr vs. probably $1,000+ (US)for the HAP.  Depends what you need it for I guess.

RE: E20-Carrier under DOS

Hey CountOlaf,
The man wants "Free" software, and you are talking $400/yr?

AlireZa7,
There is no free lunch, these things have copyrights and it is easy to get burned passing around these things.

RE: E20-Carrier under DOS

Depends on your location.  Talk to the local Carrier representative.  In some countries, they give it free to HVAC Consultants.  But again, it's purely at the discretion of the local management.
