Where on a drawing do you attach the arrow head for a spot weld symbol? Any other weld you would attach it to an edge but with a spot weld there isn't an edge to attach to. If someone has an example that they can post I would appreciate it.

Most automotive manufacturers in Europe show a cross (X) in the true position with an attached note regarding the standard required.

I've also used an "X" to locate spot welds (the same symbol used to locate datum points).
