Is there an easy way to save an assembly in a zip file from solidworks? They have this with photoworks and also in the solidworrks RX.... How do I do it with just swx?

RE: Send to->zip?

While in the assembly, do:

File, Find References

this generates a list of files used in the assembly.  There is a Copy Files button on the form that pops up which allows you to copy all the files to where ever you want.  I'd recommend an empty directory for this.  You can then zip up the entire directory.

This will not, however, copy any drawings.
