(OP)
I work on solidoworks and taken up a project, where I need to use viual basic with solidworks. I would like to present a scenario on which I work.
I need come up with something like as you start from VB where it asks for options from a standard features and with the information provided by the person creates a model from existing models where it can use different cofigurations and also use excel. This is a very simple way of saying but this is something my project is like.
Could you please help me in getting started. how to link VB with soildworks do we need program in VB and if so can you provide some sample programs. any inforamtion is really useful.
Thankyou very much for your help,
Anil.

RE: solidworks with VB
Open up SolidWorks and fireup a macro opening the user form. Sounds like you can go from there.
Or create the application using VB, (with the SW references added), and then open up SoildWorks after the slections are made.
Both ways work. It just depends on how you want to implement it.
