Show X-hatching on a Complex Surface

(OP)
I have another question for the proe gurus--love this forum.

In a drawing, is it possible to show x-hatching on a complex surface.  In other words, I am making a drawing for a fiberglas hood.  For stiffness, some areas of this hood will have core matt installed.  Rather then modeling this, if possible, I would like to specfic certain surfaces as "to be thickened with.25"  core matt".  Does anyone have any suggestions on how to do this?

Keep-out regions works great for flat surfaces; however, some of the surfaces are curved in 3d and these are the surfaces that I am struggling with.

Thanks

Maybe you can use Unfold section (drawing mode).
