Using Multiple Features To Create Library Features
Using Multiple Features To Create Library Features
(OP)
Using SolidWorks 2006 SP 4.0;
Is it possible to use multiple features to create a library feature, or does all of the features need to be contained under one feature?
Example: I create a base feature like a plate, then I create a cutout feature and then I create a hole feature.
Can I choose the cutout & hole features to create my library feature?
Any response will be greatly appreciated!

RE: Using Multiple Features To Create Library Features
You can select any feature except the base. You can also select design tables so that your library feature will have configurations that are selectable when you insert the library feature. It took me quite awhile to get good at creating library features that work really well. Try to make the location of your hole reference the sketch for your first cutout, this will make inserting the library feature easier.

Can you make a screenshot of your feature tree?
